[News] Samsung’s Galaxy Note10 to be the last with the 12MP 1/2.55 1.4μm camera

Allegedly the Galaxy Note10 will use the same main camera as the Galaxy S10+ (actually, it will use the same three cameras as the Galaxy S10+) but will add a new ‘very technical’ feature to it. This could have something to do with the rumored addition of a 3D Time-of-Flight camera to the Galaxy Note10+ or could mean something else.

As it stands the Galaxy S10+ has the new Samsung Night Mode  so it’s unlikely the new feature on the Galaxy Note10 is that.

Additionally the tipster states that the Galaxy Note10 will be the last Samsung flagship to use the 12MP 1/2.55″ 1.4μm flagship sensor that’s been around since the Galaxy S7 (the sensor, not the variable-aperture lens on top of it) and that the Galaxy S11 will usher in a completely new camera.

This could be a nod to the 74MP and 48Mp sensor that are rumored as the next to highlight Samsung’s flagship phones. Since they are Quad Bayer type sensors they will natively output 16MP and 12MP photos, respectively.
