While most Eastern Nigerian governors are still battling potholes, salary arrears, and endless photo-ops, Governor Peter Mbah of Enugu State just launched a freakin’ airline. Yes, Enugu Air. Let that sink in.

So the question is: is Peter Mbah crazy, a genius, or just miles ahead of his peers?

Let’s break it down. Watch This Leaked VideoĀ

Peter Mbah (Enugu State): Flying Above the Usual , Peter Mbah isn’t just talking change he’s flying it in. With the launch of Enugu Air, he’s positioning Enugu not just as a state, but as a regional powerhouse.

Aviation sector in the Southeast? Never done before. He’s also building smart schools, revamping the water system, and digitizing land titles.

His GDP goal? From $4.4 billion to $30 billion by 2031. That’s Elon Musk-level optimism in a region still struggling with basic infrastructure.

Critics call it “a vanity project.” Supporters call it “a masterstroke.” But no one can deny this: Mbah has ambition most of his counterparts lack.

The Others: Grounded in Mediocrity

Abia State – Gov. Alex Otti Yes, Otti is trying. Civil servants are smiling again, roads are getting attention but it’s still basic governance. Where’s the bold vision? Where’s the billion-dollar dream?

Imo State – Gov. Hope Uzodinma Most famous for being imposed by the Supreme Court and second most famous for projects that never quite finish. His administration is more known for insecurity, protests, and bulletproof politics.

Ebonyi State – Gov. Francis Nwifuru Inherited the “concrete legacy” of Dave Umahi. But honestly, how many flyovers does it take to fix unemployment and poor education? His approach feels like building roads to nowhere.

Anambra State – Gov. Charles Soludo Once hailed as a reformer. Now bogged down by insecurity and half-baked projects. His tech-driven vision has been slow to translate into real-life impact. Still better than some but not flying any planes.

The Uncomfortable Truth

Peter Mbah is doing what Eastern governors should’ve done a decade ago think regionally, act boldly, invest dangerously.

The rest?

Mostly playing safe. Or worse playing politics.

Why is no one else thinking of:

Regional aviation?

Cargo logistics hubs?

Global investor pipelines?

Because boldness isn’t in their blueprint. Peter Mbah is not perfect, but at least he’s trying something outrageous.

While others hold town hall meetings, Mbah is trying to hold his own airspace.

Final Thought:

Mbah might crash. Or he might take the entire Southeast to new heights.

Either way, he’s in the air while others are still on the runway debating ā€œfeasibility studies.ā€

Let’s call it what it is, Peter Mbah has guts. The rest just have office chairs.
