Train Crushes 11 Passengers To Death (Photos) 

Eleven people were reportedly killed on Wednesday, Jan. 22, 2025 after rumours of a fire on their train caused them to jump off and they were crushed to death by another incoming train, officials revealed.

The shocking incident happened in the western Maharashtra state.

According to Ayush Prasad, a top official of Jalgaon district, “People were run over by a train, 11 people have died and about five are undergoing treatment.”

Although, it was not immediately clear whether the fire alarm was false but it was revealed that they were run over by another train going in the opposite direction.

Speaking on the issue, India’s interior minister Amit Shah expressed his “deepest condolences to the families of those who lost their lives in this accident”.

Maharashtra chief minister Devendra Fadnavis said the “tragic incident” was “deeply disturbing”.

“Deeply saddened by the tragic loss of lives,” he revealed in a post on X.
