Nollywood actress, Iyabo Ojo responded to the letter from Naira Marley’s lawyer, Olalekan Ojo, on Monday.

The Letter from Naira Marley’s Lawyer partly reads, “It is our instruction that sometime in September 2023, you maliciously and falsely published of and concerning our client on your official Instagram handle ‘iyaboojofespris.’

“Your publication of the above words on the Internet which is readily accessible to users of the system constituted a serious libel and has caused our client colossal damage to his reputation.

“Our client requires you within seven days after the receipt or delivery of this letter an unequivocal retraction.

“The public apology is to be published on your official Instagram handle, @iyaboojofespris, and also on one national daily.”

Responding to Naira Marley’s Lawyer, Iyabo, through her counsel said, “Our client would’ve ordinarily dismissed your letter dated December 12, 2023, for being outrightly inconsequential and of no relevance, premised on your failure to transmit the correspondence till this very day.

“Our client finds your client’s demands spurious, frivolous and clout-chasing but shall initiate an action in case your client fails to do so. Our client shall be claiming the sum of N1bn.”

Late Nigerian Singer, Mohbad was a former signee of Naira Marley who died on September 12, 2023 at the age of 27.
